Tsipras launches risky election campaign

EU Observer reports Syriza party leader Alexis Tsipras is running a risky election strategy of attempting to claim a parliamentary majority in snap elections, even though a large portion of his party has defected. 53 of the 201 members of Syriza’s central committee resigned on Wednesday. Former finance minister, Yanis Varoufakis, is also taking shots at Tsipras for flip-flopping in his stance on austerity measures and Greece’s latest bailout package.
