Turkey’s Constitutional Court stands up to Erdogan

According to Turkish columnist Mustafa Akyol, the Constitutional Court has voted to invalidate Erdogan’s attempt to close down all private prep schools. This is a big victory for the rule of law and shows that there are still some checks and balances left in Turkey, despite AKP’s decade-long efforts to transform the judicial system into an instrument of his authoritarian rule.
