A Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) ambush on two armored vehicles killed 16 Turkish soldiers and wounded six more on Sunday, according to the Turkish military. PKK militants in Southeastern Turkey used homemade explosives to attack the soldiers, Zaman reports. Turkey responded with more air strikes on PKK targets.
