The “Slavic Brotherhood” military drill involving Russian, Belarusian and Serbian troops began Wednesday in Southern Russia, Balkan Insight reports. About 700 soldiers, including Russian and Serbian parachutists, are training to suppress protests. Serbia is participating in the drill, despite an EU warning against doing so. Belgrade is seeking EU membership, but it has refused to join EU sanctions on Russia. Membership requirements state that Serbia must align its foreign policy with that of the EU.
