Macedonian leader says he may shut down Balkan migrant route

Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov said in an interview with German newspaper Der Spiegel that he may shut down the Balkan migrant route altogether, RFE/RL reports. Ivanov said Macedonia will close its border with Greece when Austria reaches its limit of 37,500 migrant entries. Thousands of asylum seekers are currently trapped in Greece and many more are on the way.
