Images purporting to show Russian aircrafts and drones in Syria have surfaced on social media, prompting the U.S. White House to say it is closely monitoring reports of possible Russian military intervention in Syria, AFP reports. The White House says any Russian military support for the Assad regime would have a destabilizing effect.
