Russia, Belarus and Serbia to train troops to take on protesters

The Russian military has announced that troops from Russia, Belarus and Serbia will practice fighting anti-government protesters during an upcoming joint military exercise, The Moscow Times reports. The exercise will take place outside the Russian city Novorossiisk in early September. Russia is prepping its troops to suppress a mass demonstration like the Madian Revolution that overthrew the Yanukovych regime in Ukraine. Serbia, which is an EU candidate country, has already received criticism from Brussels for agreeing to partake in the drill.
