Turkish court arrests British journalists for ‘terror offenses’

A Turkish court has formally charged two Vice News journalists with “working on behalf of a terrorist organization.” British journalists Jake Hanrahan and Philip Pendlebury were detained last week while filming clashes between the PKK and Turkish security forces in southeastern Turkey. Turkish police claimed the journalists had links to the Islamic State or PKK. Vice News calls the charges “baseless and alarmingly false.”
