Georgian Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli said in an interview with RFE/RL that Georgia is winning its diplomatic war with Russia, as no one in the world still views Moscow as a partner. Russian forces are continuing to occupy the breakaway Georgian regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and the only way to restore Georgia’s territorial integrity is EU integration, Khidasheli said. Last week, Russia effectively annexed some Gerogian land by extending border markers past the demarcation line between Georgia and South Ossetia.
