Russian-backed military commander assassinated after speaking out against ceasefire

The commander of a Russian-backed Prizrak Battalion was assassinated Saturday, along with several members of his entourage, in the Luhansk area. Russian media is claiming the attack was carried out by Ukrainian forces, but Alexei Mozgovoi, the murdered commander, was known for being ruthless and disagreeing with other leaders in his camp. After the signing of the latest ceasefire agreement, Mozgovi said in the international press that he was “ready for more dead bodies.”
