Police save 14-year-old girl from forced marriage in Turkey’s southeast

At the last minute, Turkish police stopped a wedding ceremony in the southeastern province of Mardin and saved a 14-year-old girl from being forced to marry a 24-year-old man, Hurriyet Daily News reports. Both the bride and groom were dual citizens of Syria and Turkey, and their families reportedly arrived in Turkey six years ago.
