Georgia’s ruling party secures constitutional majority after landslide in runoff elections

Georgia’s ruling Georgian Dream party has secured a three quarters constitutional majority in the parliament, bne IntelliNews reports. Georgia held the second round of voting in its parliamentary elections on Sunday, and Georgian Dream won 49 of the 50 single-mandate constituencies that were up for a vote. Georgian Dream now has 113 of the 150 seats in Georgia’s parliament.
