Washington muscles in on Greece’s oil deal with Russia

A Forbes piece delves into the energy war going on between the U.S. and Russia. Washington is trying to get Athens to abandon its deal with Moscow that would make Greece a transit country on Russia’s planned gas pipeline to Europe via Turkey. The U.S. is making a counter-offer to Greece that will likely involve cooperation on a different gas project. Meanwhile cash-strapped Greece is trying to get hold of  as much money as possible to stave off default.
