As part of Beijing’s New Silk Road initiative, China’s main state-owned shipping company COSCO opened a branch in Sarajevo, Balkan Insight reports. COSCO already operates in Croatia and Serbia. With Beijing expected to fund the construction of thermal power plants and a highway in Bosnia, China is slated to become Bosnia’s biggest investor and creditor.
