Victims of Turkey’s Islamization: Women

Turkish journalist Burak Bekdil write a piece for the Gatestone Institute explaining how Turkey’s creeping, top-down Islamization is victimizing women. Faced with rising domestic violence — 86% of Turkish women report having suffered physical or psychological violence carried out by partners or relatives — women in Turkey are finding that they are unequals before the law. In Erdogan’s Turkey, there are cases of women being forced to marry their rapist or being beaten by the police for reporting sexual harassment, which also shows willing social participation in the Islamization of the country, Bekdil writes.
