Gulen did not order Turkey coup, EU spies say

A leaked document written by Intcen, the EU’s intelligence-sharing unit, suggests a group of officers comprising Gulenists, Kemalists, opponents of the AKP and opportunists was likely behind the recent coup attempt in Turkey — not Erdogan’s arch-rival, exiled cleric Fethullah Gulen. Additionally the document suggests Erdogan was already planning a purge of Gulenists at the time. Yet the leaked document also states Gulen is the master of a worldwide network, and he promotes ideas that are expressly anti-Semitic and anti-Christian,” an EU Observer piece notes.
