The Moscow Times reports the head of major Russian bank VTB 24 said the Sochi Olympics cost $19 billion, not $3 billion, as the Kremlin claims. Opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation previously released a report that also said the 2014 Olympics cost $19 billion and that $10.4 billion came from Russia’s federal budget.
