The lira has weakened 22 percent this year, and it is continuing to plunge as violence and political uncertainty have increased in the aftermath of Turkey’s June elections. Bloomberg predicts Turkey’s economy will grow 3 percent in 2015, a significant drop from the 5.4 percent average over the past five years.
