Surprise! Ukraine loves NATO

Foreign Policy runs a commentary on a recent poll by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation that states 64 percent of Ukrainians would now vote for NATO membership if a referendum were to occur. The poll excludes Ukrainians living in Russian-occupied territory in the Donbas and Crimea, but support for NATO membership is increasing across the country, even in the East. The Foreign Policy piece notes Ukrainian support for NATO has spiked in recent months as the Minsk ceasefire deal has collapsed and as diplomacy with Russia has proved worthless.
