A Pew Research Center poll shows the world views Putin much less favorably than Russian do. Pew surveyed people in 39 countries worldwide and found a median of only 30 percent of people view Russia favorably. A median of only 24 percent of people believe Putin does the right thing in global affairs. The numbers provide stark contrast to Putin’s approval ratings in Russia, which have neared 90 percent.
