The West has a big Turkey problem

Columnist James Poulos writes in British magazine The Week that the Obama Administration has created an even larger Middle East mess now that it has made a deal with Turkey. Following the agreement to create a refugee safe zone in Northern Syria, the Turkish government is publicly opposed to ISIS, and the U.S. is publicly supportive of Turkey’s efforts in the region. But in reality, Ankara colludes with ISIS, and it is using the fight against the Islamic State as a pretext to attack Kurdish fighters, who are also battling ISIS.
