At least 27 killed in Turkey border blast

At least 27 people died and nearly 100 others were wounded during a suspected suicide bombing that occurred Monday morning in the Turkish town of Suruc near the Syrian border, the BBC reports. Turkish officials say initial evidence indicated the Islamic State was the perpetrator in the attack. The targets appeared to be hundreds of young Kurds who were helping with the rebuilding effort in Kobani, the town just across the Syrian border that Kurdish fighters recently took back from IS.
