IS boosts Russian-language propaganda efforts

The Islamic State is formalizing its Russian-language propaganda system, RFE/RL reports. Furat Media, which appears to be IS’s Russian-language media wing, has declared an IS province in Russia’s North Caucasus and has launched a website and several social media accounts. Furat Media is targeting potential recruits in the North Caucasus, as well as Central Asia, and is trying to keep the existing Russian-speaking recruits satisfied as they fight in the Middle East. IS also disseminates official propaganda in Arabic, English, Kurdish and French.
