Eurozone finance ministers rejected a last-minute request from Athens to extend Greece’s bailout program that expired Tuesday, BBC reports. Greece is now behind on its payments to the IMF, which was supposed to receive 1.6 billion euros from Athens on Tuesday, and without the funds needed to repay the ECB 3.5 billion euros on July 20.
