Twin bomb blasts kill 2, injure over 100 at Turkish HDP rally

Two people were killed and more than 100 were injured when bombs exploded in Eastern Turkey on Friday ahead of a rally for the pro-Kurdish HDP. Numerous attacks have targeted HDP officials and members in the run-up to Sunday’s election. HDP is trying to cross the 10 percent election threshold, which would allow the party to capture seats in the Turkish parliament and likely thwart the ruling AKP’s attempt to deliver Erdogan the constitutional changes he desires to transform Turkey into a presidential system.
