Turkey’s vote is all about Erdogan

An RFE/RL article on Sunday’s Turkish elections states that it appears Erdogan miscalculated when he ran for Turkey’s presidency last year thinking the AKP would expand its parliamentary majority and make the presidency a more powerful position. The AKP currently holds 311 seats in the 550-seat Turkish parliament. It needs 367 seats in order to change the constitution, but polls indicate the AKP will fall well short of that figure and may even need to form a coalition in order to remain in power.
