5 die in Eastern Ukraine despite ceasefire

Five people, including two civilians, were killed during fighting in Eastern Ukraine on Sunday and Monday, AP reports. Three Ukrainian soldiers died, two were captured and four were injured in the past 24 hours, a Ukrainian military spokesman said Monday. An additional five civilians were injured, according to the Russian-backed separatist side. One of the civilians who died was killed in the town of Shyrokyne, a village near the port city Mariupol that has been an epicenter of fighting in recent weeks.
