On the first day of the school year in Donetsk, at least 10 individuals died during a shelling of a school playground and a public transit mini-van. Both sides blamed each other for the violence, but Donetsk remains a stronghold for the Russian-backed separatists as fighting wages on past the cease-fire agreement in Ukraine.
