Chechnya’s strongman vs. Moscow’s men in uniform: What next?

Russian journalist Vadim Dubnov writes a piece for Carnegie bringing readers up to date with the feud between Chechen strongman Ramzan Kadyrov and Russian security and intelligence officials that nearly boiled over in the aftermath of the Boris Nemtsov assassination. Dubnov argues that the conflict has ended with Kadyrov, a close Putin affiliate, likely losing some of his pull with the Kremlin but not having to face official questioning over what role he may have played in the Nemtsov murder.
