Public trust in fair elections declining in Turkey

Ahead of next month’s parliamentary election, a newly released poll shows the Turkish public is becoming increasingly distrustful of how Turkey conducts elections, Hurriyet Daily News reports. 43 percent of Turkish citizens now believe that elections will not be fair, up from 28 percent in 2007, according to a survey conducted by Turkish academics.
