Turkey up in arms over arrest of two judges

Turkish daily Zaman reports on the intimidation of the judiciary currently taking place in Turkey. Turkish authorities arrested an Istanbul judge on Thursday and another one on Friday. The judges ordered the release of a journalist and dozens of police officers, all of whom have been in pretrial detention for months. Their arrests followed corruption investigations that implicated President Erodgan and some of his family members and associates. Turkish prosecutors stepped in and blocked the release of the journalist and officers.
