Reuters cites Lebanese sources in reporting Russian forces have begun military operations in Syria in support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s troops. Additionally, Reuters cites U.S. officials as saying Russia sent two tank landing ships and aircrafts to Syria this week. Moscow has confirmed it has “experts” on the ground.
