Macedonia has declared a state of emergency on both it southern and northern borders due to an unprecedented influx of refugees, Balkan Insight reports. Skopje deployed troops to its border with Greece to try to stem the flow of refugees. About 1,500 people are now stuck in no man’s land between Greece and Macedonia.
