Al-Monitor reports that, despite its reservations about doing so, the Turkish military will be ready to invade Syria by the second week of July. Erdogan wants the military to set up a buffer zone in Northern Syria that would prevent Kurdish forces from linking territorial gains along the Turkish border. The reasoning of Turkish general could still win out, though, and stop the intervention.
