Turkey’s female journalists now risk parental rights for critical reporting

Al-Monitor reports a Turkish court has sentence journalist and mother, Arzu Yildiz, to 20 months in prison for her reporting on the Turkish intelligence arms shipments to Syria. The court also stripped Yildiz of many of her parental rights, including registering her kids in school, opening bank accounts for them and traveling abroad with them.
