Gazprom quits Estonia as it sells stake in Eesti Gaas

Bne IntelliNews reports Russia’s Gazprom has sold its 37 percent stake in Esti Gaas, Estonia’s gas importer and supplier. Estonia unbundled its gas pipelines from Esti Gaas in 2012, making Gazprom’s stake in the utility largely worthless. Estonia formerly received all of its gas supplies from Gazprom, but it now has an alternative source in Lithuania’s LNG platform, which opened in 2015.
