Ukraine’s economy plummeted by nearly 10 percent in 2015

Ukraine’s economy shrunk by 9.9 percent in 2015, RFE/RL reports. The Ukrainian economy fell by nearly 7 percent in 2014, the year Russia annexed Crimea and invaded Eastern Ukraine. Since 2014, Ukraine’s currency, the hryvnia, has lost 1/3 of its value against the dollar.
