How Georgia’s public foiled Gazprom and Russia

Armine Sahakyan, a human rights activist in Armenia, pens a Huffington Post column commending the Georgian public for protesting a deal Georgia’s government was planning on cutting with Russia’s Gazprom. The protests forced the Georgian government to abandon its plans to bend to the wishes of Gazprom and to obtain more gas supplies from Azerbaijan instead.
