Russian-Iranian S-300 missile-deal reportedly delayed

The Moscow Times reports Russia is delaying and possibly reconsidering its agreement to ship S-300 missiles to Iran. Moscow’s deal with Tehran called for Russia to begin shipping the anti-aircraft missiles as early as February and for Iran to pay about $1 billion in several instalments. A Kuwaiti newspaper is reporting Putin agreed to stop the deal after Israeli officials showed him proof that Iran had transferred Russian-made SA-22 surface-to-air missiles to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Russia previously suspended the Iran missile deal in 2010 amid western sanctions on Tehran.
