Obama has extended U.S. sanctions on Russia for a year, prolonging them until March 6, 2017, The Moscow Times reports. Washington imposed the sanctions after Russia annexed Crimea and invaded Ukraine. The sanctions target large Russian companies and members of Putin’s inner circle.
