Bulgarian publication Novinite reports reports Turkey has expelled a Bulgarian diplomat in a retaliatory move. Last week, Bulgaria expelled a Turkish diplomat whom Sofia accused of promoting Islamist activities in Bulgaria’s Muslim community. Since Turkey downed a Russian warplane over the Turkish-Syrian border, tensions have increased not only between Ankara and Moscow, but also between Ankara and Sofia.
