Hungary: EU sanctions on Russia unlikely to be renewed

At a press conference with Putin in Moscow, Hungary’s pro-Russian PM, Viktor Orban. predicted the EU would not extend its sanctions on Russia beyond July 2016, EU Observer reports. Orban said more and more EU countries share the opinion that Europe should cooperate with Russia. Putin said Russia and Hungary are planning to build joint gas storage capacities, and Moscow would loan Budapest 80 percent of the 12 billion euros needed to build a new nuclear power plant.
