Turkey’s main opposition party quits constitution-making talks

Turkey’s leading opposition party, CHP, has quit talks over rewriting the Turkish constitution, Today’s Zaman reports. The Turkish opposition party refuses to agree to the ruling AKP’s demand to transform Turkey from a parliamentary system to a presidential system. Opposition leaders say the push for the presidential system in merely a ploy for Erdogan to grab more power.
