Journalist Lucian Kim authors a Reuters blog post stating that even though Washington and Moscow have stepped up diplomatic efforts to resolve the Ukraine crisis, the Ukraine ceasefire may be in danger. In line with the Minsk agreement, Kiev is supposed to adopt a constitutional amendment this week that would create special status for the Russian-backed separatist regions. Currently, Poroshenko does not have the votes to do so. Also, reports indicate Moscow’s fighters in Eastern Ukraine are angered by the policy of rapprochement with Kiev and some insist on continuing the war with or without Kremlin backing.
