Turkey’s foreign ministry announced Saturday that Turkish warplanes for the first time had joined US-led raids on Islamic State targets in Syria, The Telegraph reports. Ankara agreed last month to join the fight against the Islamic State, but it instead of battling ISIS, Turkey had been attacking Kurdish militants.
