The Greek parliament passed Greece’s new 86 billion euro bailout deal on Friday, but the vote indicated leftist Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras may no longer have enough support to maintain a ruling coalition. 118 of the MPs in Tsipras’s coalition supported the bailout deal, but 120 MPs are needed to maintain a coalition. An official close to Tsipras told the New York Times that the prime minister would call for a vote of confidence in his government after Aug. 20, when Greece needs to repay a 3.2 billion euro loan to the European Central Bank.
