Even though he is faced with significant domestic opposition on the matter, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said French President Emmanuel Macron supports the proposed land swap with Serbia, Balkan Insight reports. Thaci went so far when speaking with the public broadcaster of Albania, TVSH, to discuss the possibility of the southern Serbian towns of Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac joining Kosovo. Thaci’s remarks drew an angry reaction from Serbian PM Ana Brnabic, who said Pristina should not make any more comments about “the territory of central Serbia.” Simultaneously, Thaci is clashing on the land swap issue with Kosovo PM Ramush Haradinaj, who earlier in the week, declared the border correction proposal to be dead.
