Thousands protest deal to make Albanian Macedonia’s second language

Thousands of Macedonians protested Monday night against the apparent deal struck between Zoran Zaev’s Social Democrats and ethnic Albanian parties in Macedonia, RFE/RL. Three ethnic Albanian parties have agreed to form a government with the Social Democrats if Albanian is made an official language in Macedonia. Supporters of longtime PM Nikola Gruevski are calling the coalition deal unconstitutional and a threat to Macedonia.
