Dispute over NATO prompts Montenegrin vote of confidence

Montenegro’s parliament will hold a vote of confidence in the government of Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic early in 2016, RFE/RL reports. Djukanovic has faced numerous protests in recent weeks — which Russia is suspected of being behind — in response to Montenegro’s successful bid to get an invitation to join NATO. But, Djukanovic is also accused of overseeing widespread corruption, and he has been in power in Montenegro since 1991.
