iz.ru: Montenegro politician suggested walling Albania, Kosovo
A Montenegrin politician has proposed building a wall on the border with Albania and the partially recognized Republic of Kosovo. One of the leaders of Montenegro’s opposition Democratic Front, Nebojsa Medojevic, also noted that the army must guard the border.
“The wall will not be built for the sake of the Albanian or Montenegrin peoples, but exclusively against the Montenegrin and Albanian Mafia,” he stressed.
According to Medojevic, the smugglers, “supported by corrupt and criminal regimes in Podgorica, Pristina and Tirana,” carry drugs, weapons, including chemical and biological ones, and illegally transport illegal migrants across the border. He stressed that Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro are key points in Balkan drug trafficking.
Montenegro’s border with Albania and Kosovo is currently being guarded by police.
Another example of manipulative suggestion and the transmission of problems between Serbs and Albanians across Kosovo, BiH and now Montenegro.
The very idea of a wall between two NATO members, Albania / 2009 / and Montenegro / 2017 / is an outright manipulation aimed at intensifying interethnic and inter-state opposition in the Western Balkans and demonstrating the insecurity of NATO’s security guarantees. Otherwise, the propaganda scheme is clear – a politician from the pro-Russian Party of the Democratic Front of Montenegro is making a statement that should not leave a particular media footprint, unless amplified by Russia’s big news.
A similar scheme applies to Bulgaria and to every other country in Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans. Thus, one who reads the news in the News cannot gain a full idea of the context and the real “weight” of that opinion.
